Partners of the ECOCredGT Project are participating in the MICROCASA 2026 International Conference, held on February 3–4, 2026, at Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang, Malaysia, under the theme:
“Shaping the Future of Learning: Microcredentials for Sustainable Skills and Employability in Southeast Asia.”
Within the framework of the event, project representatives are members of the scientific committee, contributing to the academic and strategic direction of the conference, which is structured around four thematic tracks: microcredentials and MOOCs for lifelong learning; artificial intelligence and digital transformation in higher education; policy and quality assurance in ASEAN; and industry collaboration and workforce development.
Among the highlighted contributions is a keynote lecture focused on the role of microcredentials as a key format for 21st-century education, as well as a parallel session presentation on the advancement of digital microcredentials in Latin America, developed in collaboration with consortium partners.
The papers selected at the conference will be published in the Malaysian Journal of Distance Education (MJDE), reinforcing the academic and international visibility of initiatives linked to the project.
This participation strengthens ECOCredGT’s positioning in the global debate on microcredentials, employability, and higher education, while consolidating connections with international academic networks.
