On Friday, October 17, as part of the Erasmus Days 2025, the Erasmus Talks Guatemala event was held—an exchange space organized to promote knowledge and collaboration around the Erasmus+ program.

During the session, the ECOCredGT project was presented by Lic. Eduardo Véliz from Fundación Kinal and Dr. Héctor Amado, who shared the progress achieved to date, as well as the challenges and opportunities that the Erasmus+ program offers to educational institutions in the country. Their presentation highlighted the role of ECOCredGT in building a digital credentials ecosystem that fosters employability, digital transformation, and international cooperation in the field of education and vocational training.
Erasmus+ is the European Union’s program that promotes education, training, youth, and sport, offering mobility and cooperation opportunities open to all regions of the world. Its aim is to strengthen institutional capacities and promote learning experiences that generate a positive impact on educational communities.
The event brought together representatives from higher education and vocational training institutions in Guatemala, who shared good practices and experiences aimed at encouraging participation in future calls of the program.
Erasmus Talks Guatemala 2025 was organized by the Conecta Europa Project, an initiative that seeks to strengthen cooperation between the European Union and Guatemala, enhancing the country’s capacity to participate in European programs such as Horizon Europe and Erasmus+.
