ECOCredGT launches the MOOC “Digital Credentials for Education and Work”

In line with its mission to drive educational modernization, the ECOCredGT Project announces the launch of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) titled “Digital Credentials for Education and Work,” beginning on October 13. This initiative, developed by the project partners, provides in-depth training on how to design, issue, and manage verifiable digital credentials within educational and professional institutions.

Course Content and Methodology

  • Duration: 4 weeks, with an estimated workload of 4 hours per week.
  • Language: Spanish.
  • Approach: Combines applied activities, interactive resources, and international experiences to address the conceptual, technical, and strategic foundations of digital credentials.
  • Key Topics: Essential components of digital credentials, interoperability standards, practical issuance using real tools, institutional models, and the use of verifiable credentials in the labor market.

Collaboration and Contribution to the EcoCredGT Project

This MOOC is the result of the collaborative work undertaken by the project partners, reflecting their commitment to educational innovation and institutional cooperation. Its objectives include:

  • Strengthening institutional capacities for the design and issuance of digital credentials.
  • Implementing replicable models of verifiable credentials in various educational contexts.
  • Raising awareness among institutions, educators, and administrators about the importance of digital recognition of learning.
